Straight water in cooling system

Hey guys, so here's the deal. Im racing a 94 ford probe at my local racetrack this year. They require 100% water in the cooling system. Does anybody know what I should use? Distilled or Tap, which additives to use to help flow, any rust inhibitors etc? I just need some info. Pretty sure I have aluminum parts in my system. So im a bit skeptical. Any info would be great.

Distilled is the best to use unless your tap water has a low hardness and low chlorine content will also work. I personally use AMSOIL's "DOMINATOR COOLANT BOOST", to help reduce the surface tension for better BLOCK to WATER heat transfer. I would also drop in a 180° thermostat.

Dosage for AMSOIL's "DOMINATOR COOLANT BOOST": For straight water applications, add 2 fl. oz. of Coolant Boost per quart of water. Use only water verified to contain less than 25 ppm of chloride

i use water wetter in all of my vehicles. found at jegs, summit, and local parts stores. it's a pink or green color..

So I did a little research, seems we have pretty good water around here, so I'll just run tap. I bought some water wetter and some dominator coolant boost. I'm good friends with a racing family, they said to drill out the center of my t stat. Is there any rust inhibitors I should buy? I plan on flushing it out every few weeks so I would think not, but I've been wrong before. Thanks again guys

I don't know about water wetter or others, but the AMSOIL Dominator contains a good dose of corrosion inhibitors.
