Tranny Not Shifting UP
1992 Tempo 4cyl 106K miles
Occasionally the tranny won't shift up from low gear. Stopping the car, placing it in PARK, and turning the engine OFF then ON... makes the problem disappear for a week or two. Plenty of fluid.
What causes this issue?

thats crazy, I will get that with my 89 probe sometimes. It has a couple different shift options, from a power shift option to a gear slector. But whenever I turn them on, it wont shift past first gear. but if i put it in park and turn the engine off then on, the car will shift perfect.
