1995 V8 Thunderbird starting problem

My car wont stay on. it will crank up but as soon as i put it in drive and give it some gas it shuts off. Ive checked the fuel pump, its fine.
The engine seems to be firing intermittently. and I dont know whats wrong. someone said it might be electrical (I hope not). it started doing this about a week ago just after I got gas. so i was thinkin perhaps its cuz of the gas, because it has never happened before.

can someone tell me what I should do, what I should look for

Ignition module on distributor?- NOT sure they had them that late w/OBDII. Maybe check spark plugs and wires ( and recheck wires for proper placement).
