Bushings on sway bar

I have this little metal rod thing where one end of it hooks up to the sway bar and the other end hooks up to whatever. The rubber bushings inside the round thing that has a rod thing in it is like metal on Metal. Any ideas on where I can find some little rubber bushings for this. Also, when I go to start my car there is like a fraction of a second wait untill the car begins to crank over. Any ideas on what is up with this wait time?

RE: Bushings on sway bar

The bushings your referring toare called sway bar 'link' bushings.. They come as a kit with the replacement bushings, washers, bolt/nut.. You might find just the replacement rubber, or there are urethane units available.. If they have been hammering metal on metal, usually the washers are damaged, or the bolt gets cut away.. What year T-bird are you working with?
