Ignition Problems

I have an ignition problem in an 1984 Sport Coupe
is there a switch somewhere inside the steering column which can short out ?

RE: Ignition Problems

The ignition switch is on the top side of the steering colum under the dash and controled by a rod from the key switch. I have seen the wire connector for the main feed come loose and get hot and melt the switch and cause bad connections.

Hope this helps and let us know what you find:)
