new guy needs some help

hey guys, i hear these t-birds have Independant Rear Suspension..IRS. is it select years or all years?

im wanting to use the whole t-bird frame and cut it up to make my 68 truck body sit on this.
there are a few different types of IRS setups and im not sure what setup these t-birds have.
this is going to get bagged and im trying to find the one easiest to replace those coilovers with air bags. also want that IFS and get rid of my i-beams.

The 1989-1997 T-Bird has one system
The 2002 and upT-Bird has a nice setup but I'm not sure if you will be able to use it due to the shock setup. I think it's the same as the Lincoln LS
Look at the setup from a Mustang Cobra, like a model year 2000, might be the easiest to set up with airbags

Early 80's birds has IRS and can hold the weight better. Plus if you have 2WD aren't you're I-beams already independent?

Hello

Sorry The 89-97 Thunderbirds Will not work. They a a unibody style car. No Full frame!

You could unbolt the K frame assemblies. They have a front & Rear K's

Alot of Cobra builders use the rear K as the system is complete. including the rear pumpkin(gear housing).
4 bolt locations & 2 upper shock locations.

Paul
