Default should I buy thunderbird super coupe ??????????????/

I'm lookin at buying a 1990 ford thunderbird super coupe, 3.8 liter supercharged engine, its got a 5 speed manual tranny, 2 door. Asking $2,600 OBO

I was wondering what some of you think about these cars, if the price is pretty good, or what price I should try to talk him down to, and what modifications can be done to pump out more power (changing supercharger pulley, etc.), and wondering if anyone knows any specs on these like 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times.

any information would greatly be appriated

I would say that that is a pretty reasonable price if the car is in good shape. These cars are generally faster than the v8's i belive but dont hold me to that. As for the mods, I think quite a bit can be done to these cars. Go to www.tccoa.com there is so much infor there it isnt even funny. I spend quite a lot of time at that site.

I have a 1990 35th anniversary Thunderbird Supercoupe. I love my car but unfortunately i have to sell it. They are awesome cars with nice power. i drive my car all the time and the can beat alot of imports round here. 10% or 5% pulleys can be put on the car to help with power. Also keepinbg the oil changed and the fluids check helps also. Ask the guy if the HEad gaskets have been replaced. Thats one of the major problems with these cars. You can go to SCCOA.COM and get alot of ur information there. I am a member there and they are very helpful. 2,600 sounds bought right if its in good condition and theres nothing majorly wrong with it

i have had my '90 s/c since '92....i love it! (185k + on odometer)
i just (35k miles ago) rebuilt the engine and put on a new blower...
factory new 0-60 is a tad over 7sec...1/4 mile is under 100...time, not sure.
as for speed stuff...stay with a 5% under speed pully unless u r gonna do some
internal enigne mods...go to supercoupeperformance.com...look at bolt on stuff
to obtain 300 h.p. ...that's my next purchase..hope this helps..
