02 Ranger 4x4 front differential pinion seal
Front differential was leaking at the driveshaft. I replaced the pinion seal and refilled the diff. gear oil. This fixed the leak. This was my first time working on a differential. I am wonderingif installation of the pinion nut is the same as removal? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.
any time you remove that nut you have to make sure it gets tightened down right it has a cruch washer in it and if the pinion is to tight you will ruin your differential your probably alright but if you start to hear a howeling noise i would stop driving it and get it apart
