Can Someone anyone, help me. I just bought a 2004 ford taurus and can not turn off the beltminder and the auto door locks once you start moving. I don't have a manual car didn't come with one, but I have one on order, hope to fix this before I get it. I tried the instructions for the 03 and they do not work, reading over the net seems as if they changed the procedure.

I own a 04 CV Sport & also trade new vehicles between tha local dealer & others in the area. That feature is part of the safety features of the 04 vehicles & cannot be turned off. It was put there for idiots that don't buckle up, have roll over accidents & are ejected from vehicles. ( At least 2-3 a week in the Kansas City area.) With the auto door locks it's pretty hard for some thug to open your door at a stop & hijack your new pride & joy
