If you check for spark at the time it will not start it should provide a path to continue checking further.

Im looking for advice on what's wrong.Something in the distributor?

hanky 09-27-2013 07:28 AM

Don't know if this is the problem, but there should be a pick-up coil in the distributor that sends a signal to the module that the engine is turning over. You might check the wires coming out of the dist to verify the pick-up coil has continuity.
