1995 Aerostar Ext - 4.0L: Blower Fan Issue
Trying to find some helpful tips on why the blower fan is intermittent. Did not change due to the switch speed setting or control. Issue now it is hot (near 100 deg) so it makes the drive difficult on your comfort. Seems that the rear fan continues, only the front having the issue. What I have seen in my search so far is that the blower fan motor is the culprit. Looking for some help.

To confirm your suspicion you might remove the blower motor and connect the hot and ground wires directly to the battery posts and see what you get. From what you describe , sounds like you are on the right track.

That is my intention, seems like it is both systems affected as the rear blower is going out also, now it may be a different issue? That is why I am looking for suggestions/help! Thanks, Speedo01 |
Not very common for both motors to go at the same time, I would suspect a possible power problem . The switch that controls both motors may be getting tired and could have overheated connections which build up resistance and prevent full power from getting to the motors. If the system provides the ground instead of power it still could affect blower speed.

Seems that the issue is when you are under acceleration or going up a hill the blowers stop. After awhile when back at speed the blowers start working again, does not matter what speed is selected. Some other control involved in this system? Dean |
