I have a question about this vehicle. Most days when I first crank it up it starts to rev up to about 1000 rpm and then just idles right back down and shuts off. If I put it in drive right away then it won't do this. Any idea on what might be causing this. Thanks in advance.

Your IAC or TPS is probably on the fritz. You car dies on idle, but runs fine when you give it gas.

First thing to try is cleaning out the throttle body and to see if that helps
