Default 2007 taurus high stop light

I have 2007 taurus and the high stop light has quit working. I took it out and it has 18 LED bulbs in a row. It has power to the socket. Does any one know how to test this thing or where to get a new one. I looked on ebay and they want 123 dollars for the whole light but I only need the bulb strip. I don't have 123 dollars to spend. Please help.

There's no other way around this from Ford; you get the whole thing. Though i'm sure that there could be an aftermarket solution by now.

Maybe a local salvage yard might be able to help you.
