2017 Ford escape no start
 

Hey my girlfriend is out of state with her sister and just called me and said he car won't start. She says no lights on dash just completely dead.

I tell her she probably left a light on and it needs a jump. She calls back 30 min later saying it still has no power whatsoever. They left jumper cables on it while connected to her sisters truck.

She said she drove it at noon and it was perfectly normal. I asked if she jumped it properly. She said they did. They are checking fuses now.

I told her to try jumping again and making sure the cables have a solid connection to the terminals. She didn't like this suggestion...

I can only do so much over the phone. Anyone else ran into this or is my gf just being a ditz?

There is no push to start and it's a 4cyl

When you say there is no push to start, does that mean it is a push button start?
If that is the case, does she have the coded little gizmo that has to be in the vehicle for it to start?
If that is so, is the battery in the gizmo to low to produce a coded signal to allow the vehicle to respond and start when she has her foot on the brake , in park or neutral and pushes the start button?

Sorry what I meant what the car is not equppied with push to start. It is a turnkey. She got it towed to the dealer last night they are diagnosing it today. I'll update thread when diag is complete
