90 Merc Marquis TV cable TSB part? Brass bushing?

Hello I am a newbie here.

I am looking for info on a TV cable retainer for a 1990 Mercury Grand Marquis LS.

I hear there is a brass bushing and clip available from Ford to hook the TV cable up to the throttle linkage. my car was bought with that part missing.

Anyone know the part #? TSB #? for that Brass bushing & Clip?

I read on teh net that there is a TSB, but my Ford dealer can seem to locate it. The service MGR did remember that one existed years ago, and he remembered seeing the bushings.

We tried to hook it up with zip ties and My transmission shifts hard from 1st to 2nd, and wont shift to 3rd.

ANy help, advice, information would be greatly appreciated.

worn bushing

This was a chronic problem with the aod tranny, the worn bushing can cause erratic shifting, and if not fixed will burn it up. The problem was in Ford, Lincoln and Merc. cars and trucks. The part number is
F 3 S Z-7H 303-B, I had the same problem on my 92 Linc. town-car. I also found that some tranny shops were not aware of the problem. Best to go to an experienced tranny shop or Ford dealer, it is also very important that the linkage is readjusted properly or you will still have problems. good luck
