Default 91 ford explorer, not firing

I have a 91 ford explorer 4.0. i just rebuild an engine for it and got everything installed and hooked up, but i'm not getting any power from the battery to the ignition coil. I have triple checked all of my wiring and i have tested the connections and I cannot figure it out. I need help. does anyone have any ideas????

I know on the older ones they had a problem with the Postive battery cable, the cable would be loose inside the Terminal, sometimes u could pull or wiggle the cable at the battery terminal end an the ole girl would go to working. Act just like a DEAD BATTERY

I AM NOT SURE IF THE INERTIA SWITCH WOULD DISRUPT FIRING OR NOT, BUT ITS
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT.
