Default 98 Explorer 4 0 P0171/P0174 troubleshooting help and a shocker

can you tell where he stopped typing and then copypasted? Sbcs tend to go real low oil pressure at idle at old age. its probably just idling too low and in effect, has no oil pressure. nothing out of normal. try changing the IAC idle air control valve and see if that helps any... also a fresh 100 tune up and a GOOD f.i. cleanse would help a ton. tpis at least the ones Ive seen tend to gum up real easy

For anyone else experiencing the dual p0171 and p0174 codes here is a write up detailing some things to look at:

P0171 and P0174 OBDII Code Diagnosis

I have both codes logged in my '03 Expedition and have not found the cause yet ... the adventure continues...

Default IAC carbon build up

I just had this same issue with my 2000 ranger 4.0. I cleaned out the IAC and BAM! Drives like a champ. It was about 2 years ago that I replaced it. I've got 260k miles and counting.
