I'm not sure how difficult this is for the V-6 but the V8's can be done fairly easily depending on which coil needs to be replaced. The one's in the back are are quite difficult because of their location. You'll have to pull the fuel rail out.

See this URL for info on changing plugs and coil packs on the V8: http://www.mattstruck.com/sparkplugs/sparkplugs.html

Yes, replace your plugs. Assuming you are near or over 100k miles I would go ahead and replace the plugs since you are already in there. Believe me, you don't want to go through all of this trouble again when it comes time to change the plugs.

Also, you never metioned what codes the Autozone employee pulled. Do you happen to know?
