Battery Warranty, Am I delusional?

Here is a letter I sent ford, January 2017. RElated to battery warranty. NEW replacement, which if BOUGHT new has 84 months warranty, ($147.00), is sold to me at $107.00, but has NO additional warranty on it. In retrospect, could hav SPENT $147.00, and gotten FULL warranty on it. So, I sent the following to ford. Their REply (received 2/4/2017) states that NO WARRANTY exists on the NEW REPLACEMENT, despite the fact that I paid about 72% of original cost.
Am I delusional to believe that this policy should possibly be reconsidered, to apply SOME sort of warranty?

January 2017
I have a question on a BATTERY WARRANTY for a Ford Motorcraft battery.
I have a ford 2008 escape.
Bought Battery 09/27/2011. Had 84 month warranty on it.
Had some battery issues recently, took it to ford, they tested it, it was bad, they replaced it with similar battery.
That was prorated at (84 minus 64) months, about $50.00 off, total cost $107.00

The store did everything right, and I was very happy with their service.

HOWEVER, I am concerned that with this replacement, I have NO warranty at all (other than possibly the remaining 20 months, and if that is still prorated, then essentially no warranty)

The battery cost me $107.00. New battery would have been $147.00 (+/-), and gotten another 84 month warranty. BUT, for $50.00 less, I get NO warranty? What if this battery, which I just spent $107.00 on, dies in next y ear or so?

Now, I don’t expect the full 84 month warranty. BUT, possibly something along the arrangement of
($147.00 minus the $50.00 warranty discount), or $107.00, prorated over 84 months, or something line that.

I am NOT angry, mad, flipping out, etc. I just thought that with the amount that I paid, essentially almost 3 / 4 of new cost, that there would be some warranty issued.

Anyway, I do thank you for your assistance with this..

This is something you should have addressed before buying the replacement. (And your math is wrong.) But it's still a good deal to get $40 trade-in value on a battery you used 6 years, and come away with a new battery (which will probably last another 6). You'll have to ask the dealer for a copy of the full warranty. It used to be available online, but now there's just this:
