Blown Fuse?
Alright, Hi, I'm new to the forum. I personaly drive a 2001 Pontaic Sunfire GT, but my parents all drive Ford, and I probably would have bought a Focus, but that blue Sunfire called to me.
But I digress, to my question, my parents own a 2002 Ford Thunderbird, and it doesn't get driven as much as it should, but the battery seems to die when it has been sitting for any time more than a week. Now, my dad and I were planning on washing it up and putting a new car cover on it. So we were jumping the car, following all the directions, and after about 5 minutes, my dad tried to start the T-Bird up. Well, he put the the key in, and all the electronics started like they were supposed to, but when he attempted to auctually start the car, there was a loud click and it went dead. And by dead, I mean no spark at all, that car was done. Now, I figure it is a blown fuse, or something along those lines, what do you guys think, and what would you recommend |
RE: Blown Fuse?
Clean up the battery post, and check all the fuses. Also check for any blown fusable links at or near the starter soleniod.
