Default brake issue

2001 ford explorer sport 4x4 86,000 mi... when I brake all is ok except when I am at the very last 10 or so feet of braking... then the brake pedal preasure goes out and the brake pedal goes down some... I do not lose braking - the pedal goes soft... appreciate any assistance in finding out what might be causing this to happen. No fluid leak..master cylinder seems ok...brake fluid ok. Could this be caused by a faulty sensor on the master cylinder ?

Thanks ... Lone Beage..

Check your vacum supply to the booster sounds like it might have a small leak that takes time to bleed off to about 10ft or so. Another option is to check the abs block as all the lines and pressure are routed through this housing. should be located on driver's fender just below the mastercylinder. Good Luck
