Bubbles in transmission fluid
 

When doing my Saturday morning fluid checks I noticed that the transmission fluid has bubbles on it. What is the cause

You didn't say whether the fluid level was above the recommended mark, was it?

No it is at the correct level but am spotting

Was the trans warmed up when you were checking the level?
If the bubbles are air, an overfilled condition could cause that. Have you been able to tell if the bubbles appear to be air or possibly water?

Definitely warmed up think I will drain and change filter and refill
