ok i was driving my truck i turned on the a/c and my engine surged so i turned it off and it stopped so i pulled over popped the hood when i turn the a/c on i can see the compressor clutch enguage for about 3seconds then it stops turning then it does it again so it turns on and off every 3seconds or so and thats when the engine surges anyone got any ideas? cause im in tx and its getting hot down here!

 

A compressor cycling on and off like that is a sign that youre low on freon, if its R134A its not a big deal, R12 is a bit pricey and has to be installed at a shop.

 

thnx for the info solo its a 134a system im gonna try and top it off to see what happens if that doesnt work i guess its time to go to the shop
