C6 Transmission Question

I have a 390 with a C6 behind it. I am changing out the 390 with a 429. Will the transmission interchange and fit the 429 block?

I would venture to say "YES" , just need a different bell housing of course. The 390 C.I.D. is a MEDIUM block (FE serires) and the 429 C.I.D. is a BIG block (385-series).
