carb problems

Could someone help me with this.
I have a 68 ford f100 with a 1988-91 300 six standard tran.
I purchased a rebuilt carb and have been having flooding problems ever since. I've had it apart and udjusted the float level but it continues.
My battery is almost dead by the time it starts and I better not give it any more gas or she stalls out. What else should I try before getting another carb? thanks

Welcome to the site..

Could be a problem with the needle/seat or may have been over tightened with a crack possibly leaking around/under the seat fitting.. If you've dropped the level and it still spills fuel I'd go for a replacement if its still under warranty..

Check your fuel pressure, you may need a in line fuel pressure regulator. About 3 to 4 psi is all you need.
