I'm having issues with my ford 500. Every time I accelerate the car act like it wants to shut off. I took my car to Ford and they said the computer needed to be rebooted. They rebooted the computer for 150 bucks and the problem continues to happen. Every time I accelerate, the car changes gears or just randomly the car security light comes on and the car either shut off or tries to shut off. Now ford is telling me to replace the entire computer for $800. Can someone please help!

 

have your throttle body checked first.
