I have a 2001 E-150 Conversion Van that broke down a couple of weeks ago. We tried spraying some engine starter fluid in the intake but no luck. I had it towed to Ford and they replaced the fuel pump. When I went to drive it off, it had a strange noise coming from the engine. It was like a whoosh or air sound. I immediately took it back in and let the tech listen to it. Since they replaced the fuel pump and it is located in the rear, they feel they had nothing to do with the noise....even though it was not present when I first took it in.
All I know is, the vehicle used to be quiet while driving, now you hear this annoying noise. Any ideas out there?
