e40d transmission problems
 

I have a 1994 7.3L Diesel F350 Dually crew cab and every so often the O/D light starts flashing and the truch will shift very hare. To reset the system Ihave to trun the truch off, then on; Has any one else experienced this and what did you do to rectify this defect?

Hey man i beleive the first thing u need to do is have it scanned, cause theirs many things that can cause high line conditions. I build trannys for a liven and i deal with E4Ods on a daily basis. The thing that i see that mostly cause problems are with the TC slipping.
Is the truck seem to do anything funny before it starts shifting hard? (slip, flair,not shift, skip a gear, ect) Anything i can do to help just let me know thanks brentamas@cyber-rights.net
