Default Exhaust gas recirculation system

I have a code reading insufficient flow in the exhaust gas recirculation system. Does that mean it is time to get a new EGR vavlve?

Depends what kind of car you have. There's a common problem in 2000+ Ford carline models, including Taurus, Ranger, Crown Vics and others which involves replacing the DPFE sensor. In fact, it's a recall/Warranty extension on that specific part.
