F350 starting when I connect battery
 

I was recently starting my 2004 f350 with a charger on it. I fried the starter went and got a new starter. I installed it and when I connected the battery the the trucks starts to turn over with out any key in the ignition. I am stumped did I fry something else? Is there an ignition moduale?

First I would suggest you recheck the wires you connected back on the starter.
If the small wire terminal is touching the heavy wire coming from the battery it will cause the solenoid to operate and engage the starter.
If that doesn't solve the problem, remove the small wire from the starter solenoid , then try reconnecting the battery. Before we go any further let us know what results you received.

I believe the contacts in the starter relay are probably fused [stuck together] remove the cable that runs from the relay to the starter, conect the battery and then touch the cable to the post on the relay if it cranks replace relay you can try a couplel of taps on relay with a hammer it will probably free it if it does I would still replace the relay cheap insurance

Yes I disconnected the small wire and same problem.
