heyfolks, I am having a serious problem with my sons car. He bought this 99 ford contour and when you try to pump gas int the tank it will let you put about 10 cents in at a time then it will splash back like its full and shut the nozzle off. majoprity of the time it does this every once in awhile you can pump it in like normal but few and far between. I took of a filter canister that was mounted underneath the tank and cleaned it out, I cleaned out the electrical valve of some sort that went into the canister and the line itself but it still does it what should I try next. any help sure would be appreciated. what is the electric valve for?
