Ford smog equipment

Hello Ford people, I'm putting together a kit car and want to use a ford small block and being in California want as little smog equipment as possible. Is there a web site ofr publication that I can look up what smog equipment came standard on specific year cars. Looking at a Bronco site 1969 302 had pvc and acl 1970 added carbon canister. Does anyone now of more detailed info a on a larger range of years and blocks? Thanks Joe

Here's an artical written by Vern Hance of the Northern California Kit Car Club.

Their web site is here.

These folks may be able to help you. The early emissions control device used in California was the AIR (Air Injection Reactor) system. This technology was introduced in 1966 when California's first emission testing requirements were first enacted.

Hope some of this helps.
