will the site tell us how to find out what year a motor sitting in a garage is? do you know how to look at stamped number on motor to tell year?

 

the Vin number is the id no for it and its the one there on the drivers side below the wind shield ,,you can read it from out side the vehicle,,good luck i hope this help,s .

Call your local dealer and ask. Have proper paperwork ready to prove the vehicle is yours. I think they quit on anything prior to 2001. Never hurts to ask. A quality locksmith might be able to do it also.

 

Usually, you can locate the Vehicle identification number on the driver side dashboard. It can be viewed through the windshield. The VIN number is very much recorded in insurance records and accidents.

 

Recently purchased a 1966 thunderbird, can we use the same site to access vin information for that year vehicle?

On the trans case there's an identificatiion tag attached. Their generally white/black lettering with a bar code across the tag. On the lower right of the tag (under the bar code) is the trans serial.. Build date is above the serial..
