fuel problem

I have a '95 Probe, I had a problem with the alternator, replaced that and have had to charge the battery because the car has been setting idle for a while. Now that I want to use the car I've got an issue with acceleration. When I let the car warm it idles fine but wants to die when I try to accelerate. I can play with the pedal and get it up to speed, however, when I deccelerate it stalls on me. Can any one help?
