HELP Please!
I have owned this car for a VERY long time. it's a 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon Sprint. The original 260 V8 is currently setting in a corner. There is a nasty 289 board to 302 cu. in. Car is tubbed with MT 13x31 on the narrowed 9" with .456 Locker. When we built the car i put in a Hays Gold clutch kit in it. It has seen a lot of abuse in the following years I'm afraid it's going bad. I have been contacting clutch manufacturer's to see if anyone has a high performance replacement. After approximately 3 weeks of looking, I'm very frustrated. It has a 1 1/6" diameter input shaft. With 10 splines. 10" diameter clutch. Long style. Currently have a toploader. (destroyed 2 Borg Warner T10's) Also a skattershield that has COBRA made into the casting. I have 2 questions. 1. Can a diaphragm pressure plate directly replace the current long style and clear? 2. One performance clutch manufacturer said their 10 1/2" kit will directly fit my original flywheel. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.for...7ed0d50591.jpg
