Ignition Problems F-150

I have a '93 F 150 4 X 4 5.0L I gave a Jeep owner a jump start the other night, left the truck running for about 15 minutes after. About an hour later I tried to start it. The first try to start it came close to turning over, then the second try nothing, just a clicking sound. Tried jump starting it and nothing, just a clicking sound again. Replaced the altenator today and still the same problem. Does anyone have a suggestions that might help me get my beauty back on the road.

Thanks for reading

Might be a bad battery with a dead cell.

Also check the solenoid and make sure you have a good ground.

Check all of your connections at the battery and solenoid. Clean them all with a wire brush, and make sure they're tight when you hook 'em all back up. Don't overtighten them though.

If that doesn't work, you probably shorted a cell in your battery when you jumped his pick-up.
And you'll have to replace the battery.
