One way to attempt this might be to consider which had the most use and has the heaviest electrical load.
Possibly start with the power locks. Then the interior lights. Then the pwr mirrors. What we try to do if possible is to disconnect each system one at a time . Its a little time consuming without some nice tools that would assist in locating the short , but I don't know what kind of equip you have to work with, so I have to assume none and that's why you need to remove each system one at a time . Of course each time you disconnect a system then see if the fuse still blows. Eventually you'll find one that when disconnected the fuse won't blow out. You can chase it down from there. |
I just remembered some systems use a heavy duty circuit breaker for power door locks. Do you have any access to an owners manual. That should tell you if one is required.

I disconnected pwr dr lcks & mirrors & put in new fuse. Int lights came on for 1 sec, then blew fuse. Inspected light sockets & and all seemed ok. Reconnected locks & mirrors & put in new fuse & lights didn't come on & fuse blew. I had lights off in garage and when I tried dr locks with no fuse, there was a clicking noise when I pressed open & when I pressed lock, the dash and parking lights came on. I'm lost! Thanks for your time & help.

There is a way to program your remote. Unfortunately I don't remember the procedure possibly someone on this forum can assist you. If not you may need to visit a dealership.
You could always try to google it for the procedure. LOL |
