I'm doing a intake manifold replacement (plus whatever) on a 4.6L Lincoln Town Car 2005. For research, I've looked at a few vids and posts I've found here and there, and I have a thread with some pics. Please see.
Unlike all the other such how-to narratives on the same subject, I encountered this foam (polyurethane ?) encased molded basket:
So what's it for? Should I put it under the new manifold? Has anyone else seen this thing?
