I have a 97 explorer. The interior lights will not shut off.

 

Spray penetrating oil into all door latches one at a time. Open and close each door a few times. One of the doors will cause the light to go off. The door switch is inside the door panel on top of the latch mechanism.

 

Check your interior light switch, they do go bad.
