Key FOB Eratic operation
 

My FOB does not consistently work. I thought it was the battery but a new FOB works no better in my 2020 Edge. Anyone else? The dealer can't locate the issue.

You need to explain what the remote does.

Sometimes the car does not recognize the FOB. I stand beside the car doors and wait eventually I manually operate the FOB. The FOB will usually release the driver's door and sometimes the front passenger door.
I am thinking my smart phone might be interfering with the signal.

What do you mean by the fob is not recognized?
Do you hit any of the buttons and nothing happens?
What do you mean by manually operate the fob.
If you click the unlock button once the driver door unlocks, if you click the unlock button twice all four doors unlock.
Do you have any other keys?
Seems very very unlikely your phone is interfering with the key fob operation.

My 2020 Edge should recognize the FOB when I stand adjacent to the door and unlock automatically. If I wait then hit the button it will unlock.

I could be wrong but I don't think it is suppose to unlock just with you standing next to it, on most the door unlocks when you place your handle around the door handle.
