my 1999 taurus

I have 1999 Ford Taurus 3.0 v6 DOHC vin S,and the tranny is gone.Need to know if a tranny from a 2000 Ford Taurus 3.0 v6 flex, vin 2,will interchange.Any information would be greatly appreciated.
