Need help with stuck autopark brake - PLEASE?

I am a newbie here, and I have a dear friend stuck with a sick wife..and a stuck autopark brake.
His rig will not move when he puts it in gear. it is a 1992 winnebago with p30 chassis. 34 foot motorhome. The cable tension to the autopark brake is released when he moves tranny out of park but the brake pads on the autopark do not release. Seems to me that pads are stuck to the hub and it looks like the drive shaft will need to be removed to repair the autobrake pads and springs. He told me that he once called a wrecker and the driver released the drive shaft in a few minutes. I can't see how to remove it.To rework the autopark assembly with hub and pads, i think i need to remove the drive shaft but don't know how, so PLEASE HELP US.Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated...
