P71 Intake Leaking

Hi guys. I am new hear. I just bought my second 2000 P71 from the state auction and brought it home today. The motor was skipping. So I decided to change the plugs. When I got to the last on on the back left ( looking at the engine) The Heater hose going into the intake came off in my hand. ERR!! Now this car DOES have the new style intake, identified by the aluminum thermo housing. Can this be replaced or do I have to change the entire intake? The hose fitting came right out of the intake. 2 of the plugs on the passenger side were wet, and I assume from the fitting leaking. If I change the intake, will this fix the skipping in the engine or is it too late? Thanks, Jon.

RE: P71 Intake Leaking

Sounds like the intake will need replaced if the fitting came right out. That may also be the source of your miss.
