Default Painting Bumper cover

I have a white rear bumper cover from a Taurus and I need to paint it Blue to match my car. My question is this, Is it hard to paint it using spray paint cans or is it better to have it done by a body shop. Also is there anything that I need to do besides roughing it up so he paint will adhere. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

you can use spray cans ! just roughen the paint with fine sandpaper, clean it off good and spray it the same color as the rest of your car ! when you paint mask it off first so you won,t get any paint on the rest of the car and start at 1 end of the bumper and go to the other end without stopping in the middle and spray against the over spray to cover up the over spray so it will look even !

Thanks, The cover is already off of the car so it shouldn't be too hard maybe. Once it is painted how many coats of clear coat should I apply. What is the best paint to buy in spray cans or is it all about the same.
