replacing upper control control arm bushings

hi, my 1995 ford aerostar has a worn upper control arm bushing on the driver's side. I've been quoted up to and over $300 to fix problem. I came upon a tool that supposedly removes and replaces upper controle arm bushings for late model ford vehicles wthout having to remove the upper arm assembly. Is this correct, and if so can anyone give me advice to fix problem?

i suggest you take it to wherever quoted you $300 it is pretty labor intensive to replace, and i don't know if you want to put that much effort into it or not.

Upper Control Arm bushing replacement

Thanks for your post! I feel a lot better, as I just had the driver's side upper control arm bushing replaced on my '96 Aerostar, and thought $225 was a bit pricey. Judging by your post, I should feel fortunate! Thanks again.
