Default Service code text "Manufacturer's Auxiliary Emission Control"

There's no code number, but the text read "Manufacturer's Auxiliary Emission Control". I've gotten the same one from an Escort, a Taurus and a Ranger, all late 90's, early 2k's. Does anyone know what this is referring to and where to look for the problem?

There will be a code number. Your scan tool will not read anything but generic codes. You need a reader that is the next level up that will read the manufacturer's codes. I did not see on your link where there waqs anything that had "Manufacturer's Auxiliary Emission Control" codes anywhere. The Auxillary Control can be many things. A few more bucks for a scan tool would give exact code numbers.
