service engine soon light on no communication with scanner
 

:confused:I have a 98 lincoln town car executive series , the service engine light is on . I have tried to retrive the code ussing bolth an actron/sun pro obd II retriver and a auto xray code scanner . niether scanner will communicate with the car any suggestions would be greatly appreciated .

is it getting power? if not check the fuse for the dlc and cigarettel lighter
