SYNC 3 Upgrade
 

Bought a 2016 Edge SEL in July 2016 At that time the SYNC system did not come with Navigation unless you bought $4K option package or the Titanium model.
One year later Ford released the Navigation Upgrade Kit for SYNC3 which I purchased from 4D Tech. and installed myself . Recently Ford sent a notice for people to buy a SYNC 3 Navigation Map update which requires SNYC3 Version 3.0. When I checked my System I have only Version 2.0. Ford has a free upgrade to go from 2.0 to 3.0 which requires you to enter your VIN to get the download. However when doing the install the error comes back "Remove USB This upgrade applies only to systems without Navigation". How do I get Ford to update their database so I can get the right download packge that includes Navigation for my car?
