Question Cold air return on F250 6.2L

Hi all
I am interested in more economy (well a little bit more) in my '11 F 250 super duty. Right now I have a fairly open magnaflow on a fatback with resonater deleted and a I&an filter replacing the paper one. I have heard that there's no point installing a c.a.return as the computer governs the air fuel mix anyway plus Ford has stickers all over the place warning about after market devices...I need a little guidance here please😀

I am not sure but if you mean the box attached to the tube leading to the plenum then it has that. It appears to be connected . What are you suggesting?

the purpose of the resonator box is to improve airflow into the manifold. removing it for a cai with no resonator box will decrease performance and probably economy along with it. performance filters, most do not meet oem filtering standards. they improve flow by filtering less. this will encourage a dust out condition.

Default Resonated box F250 cai

Thanks Primem.
Seems like too much hassle for a dubious amount of gain. For now I think I will leave things as they sit. Not doing too badly especially pushing the wt. I am driving around.
