Have 04 F250 6.0L Auto FX4 Spent over 4K in repairs past 3 weeks. Now have Loud shutter sound when deccelerating. Can not tell where sound is comming from but seems drivers side, possibly top but could be lower engine compartment. Can not trust local dealer and very concerned. wondering if tranny, torque converter or turbo.

Sounds like it could be turbo 'bark'.. Hold the brakes 'tight' and bring up the RPM/boost pressure, then, quickly release/chop the throttle.. Do you hear a 'whap whap whap ' sound? If so, its usually a normal condition (unless excessive) to the 6.0 since the boost pressure isnt dumped via a waste gate.. The high boost pressure basically will back out the intake making a audible sound.. What repairs were done ?
